Delvis(Un)Limited is a project that gravitates within the universe of collectible design, orbiting around it, viewing it from new perspectives, questioning its form and nature, challenging and celebrating it at the same time. The provocation is evident from the name itself—an on-and-off play on a powerful word: “Unlimited.” “Unlimited” as in boundless, undefined, unrestrained by strict parameters or conventional notions of function and form—just as collectible design should be. But “Unlimited” also as in mass-produced, pointing in the opposite direction, toward objects that can be endlessly reproduced without a fixed edition number.

The renewed brand identity plays into this duality by introducing a flashing logo, where the “Un” disappears when the collection shifts toward collectible design—subtly toggling between limited editions and open-ended series. The use of the parentheses further reinforces this concept, adding a dynamic layer to the website’s animations.

Delvis(Un)Limited inaugurated a new chapter of its young history during Milan Design Week with the exhibition The Theater of Things — 7 Nights and 7 Days Living with Collectible Design. The Theater of Things is an experiment in living with design. For the duration of MDW, it transformed the Milanese storefront of the gallery into a living domestic stage — an eclectic space shaped by the unique creative expressions of seven designers.

Inside this home/exhibition, collectible design pieces mingle with objects—functional or otherwise— that genuinely belong to the participating designers. The scene is deliberately disorienting: a bed in the window offers a voyeuristic invitation to passersby and an open call for more intentional visitors to join the performance. A gallery that is a home; a home that is a gallery. The exhibition reflects on collectible design’s position between artistic endeavor and conversation piece, questioning the very meaning of home.

Each night, one of the seven designers slept in the gallery-home. Each morning, a journalist, critic, or curator woke them for coffee and engaged in an informal conversation about the experience— discussing collective design, living amidst collectible pieces, and the unexpected thoughts emerging from this unusual act of self-exhibition.
