Shakti Design Residency is an annual initiative supporting emerging international design talent. The inaugural edition, took place in New Delhi and Jaipur from October 1 to 25, 2024, offering four selected designers an immersive experience in Indian craftsmanship. Through workshops, collaborations with artisans, and mentorship from world-leading creative professionals, the program fosters cross-cultural dialogue, innovation, and a deeper understanding of traditional making practices
The visual identity for Shakti Residency draws from the Yantra—sacred geometric diagrams central to Tantric traditions. Used in worship and meditation, Yantras symbolize balance, symmetry, and structure, mirroring the residency’s focus on artisanship and material culture. Studio Vedèt translated this concept into a refined yet dynamic design system, shaping the program’s identity across digital and print. The website extends this language, creating an intuitive platform for applicants and audiences worldwide.
