Visual Identity and website for a newborn brand, with a strong, innovative attitude, and rich artisan heritage.
Somaschini is a newborn brand, with a strong, innovative attitude, and rich artisan heritage in 1940s Brianza—a hard-working region of Lombardy, internationally renowned for the production of high-quality design. It thrives, however, on new ideas and contemporaneity and never lapses into nostalgia but rather masters its own high craft. Vedèt created the brand's visual identity trying to represent this double movement, on the one hand toward the tradition of craft, and on the other toward the provocation of a daring and contemporary language.
The brand's logo is designed to convey a simple and modern message that will withstand the test of time. The brand's identity is represented by a lively yellow color that speaks to the high quality and value of its products, as well as a playful and humorous attitude. The brand's launch campaign, art directed by Studio Vedèt and executed by photographer Mattia Parodi, further highlights this distinctive approach.
Somaschini shows a certain obstinacy in pursuing techniques honed over decades, preferring to make them speak through new languages. It hence challenges tradition with a bold and confident approach. The expertise of Somaschini is channeled in products with finishes and collectible design customizations, but made in unlimited series that find their place in the world of luxury in an irreverent, playful, and casual way.
