Voice of Commons (VoC) is a broadcasting project focused on our Global Commons and their existential role in securing the stability of the planetary ecosystem. Rooted in Venice, a city at risk due to rising sea levels caused by anthropogenic climate change, VoC uses the city’s unique media power to shift the spotlight from the Lagoon to the planet and beyond. Voice of Commons is a project by Una-Unless and Giulia Foscari, under the patronage of UNESCO, recognized by the UN Ocean Decade, and endorsed by the European Space Agency.

The Planetary Embassy (formerly the Carlo Scarpa Ticket Office, at the entrance to the Giardini) hosts a dense program of dialogues and performances, broadcasting human and non-human voices across time. A series of ongoing events will continue to animate the pavilion throughout the duration of the Venice Architecture Biennale 2025.
Bringing together leading voices from a range of disciplines, the project questions global governance frameworks and opens space for collective conversation around the Global Commons.

Voice Of Commons Website
Studio Vedèt was invited to translate this vision into a visual identity, an online platform, and exhibition graphics. Bright colors and bold design were used to emphasize the project's dynamism, creating a visual contrast that encourages interaction. The fluid, modular website offers the possibility to re-listen to podcasts, explore multimedia content, and participate in live performances, creating an immersive experience that extends beyond the physical visit to the pavilion.

For the physical exhibition, led walls were designed to amplify visitor interaction, blending technology and physical space organically. The graphic language was fully integrated into the pavilion itself, becoming part of the spatial experience rather than an overlay. Alongside this, we developed elements of exhibition design that helped structure the visitor’s journey—creating a cohesive environment where visual identity, architecture, and content converge. Every detail, from printed materials to wayfinding systems, was conceived to guide visitors through an experience that reflects the project's complex themes.
