For the launch of the Noritake Design Collection—a new chapter in the century-long legacy of the Japanese ceramics brand—Studio Vedèt developed the visual identity and website, debuting during Milan Design Week at ALCOVA in Villa Borsani. This curated initiative brings together global design voices including Faye Toogood, Yabu Pushelberg, and Marc Newson, exploring new expressions of ceramic form, function, and culture.

Drawing from Noritake’s vast archive, the identity system builds a bridge between past and future, honoring the brand’s deep heritage while embracing bold, contemporary gestures. At the center is a custom monogram that reinterprets ornamental marks and symbols from Noritake’s historical graphic materials. Its design reflects the symmetry and delicacy of traditional porcelain stamps, while introducing a contemporary modularity. Alongside it, the logotype and supporting elements echo both the precision of traditional craft and the fluidity of modern design, creating a visual space where contrast becomes coherence.

The website, designed as a digital counterpart to the collection’s physical presence, offers a refined yet exploratory experience. Structured like a curated library, it places equal emphasis on storytelling and usability, guiding visitors through designer collaborations, research materials, and a rich visual history of Noritake's craftsmanship.

As Noritake repositions itself on the international design stage, Studio Vedèt’s design work plays a critical role in articulating this evolution. With a language that is both nuanced and assertive, the identity speaks to a future where heritage is not only preserved, but reimagined.
